The Montgomery County Coin Club will meet Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 7:15 p.m. at the  Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center, 1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring. Meetings are open to members and non-members alike.

The program will be “The Dean of American Numismatists,” a title ascribed to coin dealer/numismatic literature publisher Wayne Raymond in 1957 by John J. Ford. This brief slide presentation looks back at one of the most innovative numismatists of the mid-20th century whose measure and mark on American numismatics survives well into the 21st century. This will be in lieu of the previously announced program, “Lincoln and His Printers –  the GPO and BEP.”

In addition to the program, there will be a monthly auction consisting of a mix of U.S. and foreign coins, as well as other interesting numismatic items. Anyone in attendance may bid on the lots. Members will receive the auction list with their monthly bulletin. Non-members may bid on lots, but only members may submit items for auction. Searchable results for auctions from 2022 to the present are available on the website under the “Auctions” tab.

As always, snacks will be available.
