Established in 1959, the Montgomery County Coin Club is dedicated to fostering interest in numismatics at all levels, from novice to expert, but especially among young people. The club publishes a monthly bulletin designed to serve members in the Washington DC area but also providing a record of club events.

MCCC monthly meetings feature guest speakers, videos, and activities related to various numismatic topics, including coins, tokens, paper money, and medals. Visitors are always welcome. Club members exhibit items from their collections and share advice about coin and paper money collecting with one another. Each MCCC meeting also features a live auction of more than 30 lots, most of them relatively inexpensive. Members and visitors may bid.

The club generally meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center, 1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring, MD.
