The Montgomery County Coin Club will meet Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 7:15 p.m. at the Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center, 1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring. Meetings are open to members and non-members alike.
The program will be “Lincoln and His Printers – the GPO and BEP.” 2026 marks the 165th anniversary year of Abraham Lincoln’s first inaugural address and the inaugurations of the Government Printing Office and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. This brief looks at the historical relationships and roles between these two federal government printing and publishing entities.
In addition to the program, there will be a monthly auction consisting of a mix of U.S. and foreign coins, as well as other interesting numismatic items. Anyone in attendance may bid on the lots. Members will receive the auction list with their monthly bulletin. Non-members may bid on lots, but only members may submit items for auction. Searchable results for auctions from 2022 to the present are available on the website under the “Auctions” tab.
As always, snacks will be available.
