The Montgomery County Coin Club will meet Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 7 p.m. at the Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center, 1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring.
The November program is a 25-minute slide presentation, “The Origins of the Seated Liberty Coinage,” which traces the Seated Liberty design concepts and influences back through the British Empire to the ancient Roman classical coinage. In addition to the program, there will be an auction (club members receive the auciton list with their emailed bulletins) as well as member exhibits and snacks.
The December MCCC program will be our annual Donated Auction to benefit the Montgomery County Humane Society (in honor and remembrance of Scott Barman). The November meeting is the best time to submit items you are willing to donate to the December auction. Submit your generous donations of items to Auction Chairman Jack Schadegg at the meeting or make other item drop-off arrangements with him.
