The program for the Tuesday, May 9, 2023, meeting of the club will be a modified version of a ANA Library presentation entitled “Commentary and Insights on the the Coins and Exonumia of the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair.” Jack Shadegg will present a slide show covering the 1893 fair and the American Industrial Revolution advancements represented at the fair and on the design features of related coins and exonumia.
In addition to the presentation, there will be member exhibits, a raffle and door prizes, refreshments and an auction. The meeting, which begins at 7:00 p.m.at the Schweinhaut Senior Center, 1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring, is open to the public.
