The Montgomery County Coin Club will meet Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center, 1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring.
The program is a PowerPoint presentation titled, “A snapshot of lesser American coin and currency counterfeiters – their rise and fall.” This 20-minute presentation features, not the most famous nor largest U.S. counterfeiting operations, but those lesser operations that have the most interesting stories, characters, or products.
In addition to the program, there will be a monthly auction consisting of a mix of U.S. and foreign coins, as well as other interesting numismatic items. Anyone in attendance may bid on the lots. Members will receive the auction list with their monthly bulletin.
In addition to the program and auction there will be member exhibits and snacks.
