The Montgomery County Coin Club will meet Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 7:15 p.m. at the Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center, 1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring. Meetings are open to members and non-members alike.
The program will consist of reports from MCCC members attending the the American Numismatic Association‘s World’s Fair of Money being held in Chicago (Rosemont) August 6-10.
In addition to the program, there will be a monthly auction consisting of a mix of U.S. and foreign coins, as well as other interesting numismatic items. Anyone in attendance may bid on the lots. Members will receive the auction list with their monthly bulletin. The July auction had some spirited bidding, especially on foreign coins. Non-members may bid on lots, but only members may submit items for auction. Searchable results for auctions from 2022 to the present are available here.
