To mark the Ides of March, the March 14 meeting will feature a film about coins relating to the early Caesars, starting with Julius, by David Vagi, a specialist in ancient coins at Coin World.

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING for this area with a forecasted for high winds and accumulation of 6 to 10 inches of snow. It is important for members to remember that the Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center observes the same cancellation policies as the Montgomery County Public Schools. Since the center will be closed when MCPS closes for inclement weather (see the MCPS Emergency Information web page), MCCC will not meet. Please note that the schools may cancel officIal programs but allow the facilities to remain open for other groups to meet. MCCC will meet on those days when the facilities are open. Watch for announcements on your favorite news source and one the website’s front page.

FINAL REMINDER: If you have not paid your 2017 membership dues, please pay them this month. Membership is still the very low $8 per year and $2 for Young Numismatists, a price that has not changed in many years. MCCC dues help support our education and outreach programs. At 66-cents per meeting, it is the best deal in town! To pay your dues, download our dues form pdf from our Digital Document Library and you can either pay dues at the next meeting or mail your dues to the address on the form.

Doors will open at 7:00 PM and the meeting will start at 7:15 PM SHARP.
